Sustainability Matters
As caterers, and being heavily involved in the food industry, our entire team is respectful towards this subject, and it is incorporated into our every day thinking and business ethos.
Food & Ingredients
We locally source our food, and we ensure that all our ingredients are seriously and sustainably sourced in the UK to create a true “farm-to-fork” experience. We work with some of the best, small and independent suppliers to ensure we deliver a high standard to all of our clients.
We are mindful of food wastage where possible, and work hard at not throwing anything away, as well as guiding clients on consumption.
We have designed seasonal menus fitting in with ‘what’s good’ at that time of the year and resulting in less food miles. We also offer fully vegan and vegetarian menus in keeping with modern day trends.
Consumables
Eco-friendly plates, cutlery, straws & bamboo bowls are the ideal sustainable serving solution. Made from plant-based materials and palm leaves, these compostable and biodegradable plates are far kinder to the Earth than standard paper or plastic alternatives. Using these eco-friendly disposable plates, shows we are passionate about improving our green footprint and appeal to eco-conscious consumers.
Recycling
For every event we cater for, no matter how large or how small, we take pride in managing the recycling for all rubbish, reducing the amount of materials going into landfills. We separate and dispose of each material responsibly and educate all our staff on the benefits of doing this, as a matter of course within our training programme.
Recycling conserves raw materials and saves the additional energy that manufacturers would use producing new products from scratch. It also conserves natural resources such as timber, water and minerals. We are passionate about living in a Greener Environment.
Carbon Emissions & Transportation
Our events are not always local to our kitchen, so we schedule all of our staff to car share, minimising carbon emissions. This is an area we are definitely looking to improve on, as it is one of the highest types of pollution for our planet and environment.
